About Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation
The Foundation preserves and operates the Tennessee Theatre, the ornate Gay Street movie palace designated the Official State Theatre of Tennessee. Programming runs from Broadway tours and concerts to symphony performances, and the Mighty Wurlitzer organ still rises for shows. Education work includes Theatre Arts For All, summer camps and the Marquee Awards for local high school musical theatre.
