About Knoxville Symphony Orchestra
Bertha Walburn Clark founded the KSO in 1935 on the conviction that every important occasion in life must have music, and it has performed continuously ever since. More than 70 percent of its performances happen outside the concert hall, in schools, neighborhoods and free public events across East Tennessee. Programming spans Masterworks, Chamber, Pops and Community Concerts along with youth ensembles.
