About Tuckaleechee Caverns
A 1.25-mile guided walk drops visitors into the Big Room, a chamber said to be large enough to hold a football stadium, and on to Silver Falls, the tallest underground waterfall in the eastern United States. Formations here are estimated at twenty to thirty million years old. The caverns hold a AAA Five Star Gem designation.
